My knee had been very bad so I took today off. I though I could not afford to slow down though, so I sneakily got the train from Zamudio to Laredo.
My hotel, called Bisabuela Martina, is above the town and was great – it has it’s own pool, is reasonably priced and the owner Franc is very helpful. Check out his web site at Bisabuela. Franc only does breakfast but there are a couple of bar/restaurants 5 mins walk away on the main road.
Note that if you are doing the Camino on a bike, the path in the area of the hotel is not doable so best to use the road into Laredo. See my next entry for that.
