Greetings All, this marks the first day of my Epic Journey, and I’m not going anywhere. As with all Epic Stuff (conquest, exploration, falling in love) it starts with an idea. I love mountain biking and I am middle aged (OK so I’m 50 but if I’m optimistic, it’s middle aged). So I’m going to do something epic. With my mountain bike. And no, I’m not going to fall in love with it. What I need to do is find a place to bike around that fits my needs
- Sun, no rain – rules out England.
- Tracks, no tarmac – humm tricky
- Gorgeous scenery – lots of these
- Reasonable bars at the end for a cooling drink – rules out USA (guys, really, why are your bars so shit? Learn from Switzerland)
