I didn’t feel too good today. Also my knee was bad. And there was rain forecast. So I wimped out and took the nice new road to Sabinanigo…22km of tarmac with minimal ascent over 48km of track and 1000m of ascent. But the road was nice, it had a 2.5km tunnel which was interesting and I smashed my land-speed record on the down-hill: 64.9kph

As I sit here writing in the hotel in Sabinanigo at lunch time, the rain coming down and thunder coming from the mountains, I think I made the right choice. There are times in life when one has to man-up, and times to wimp out. You just need to spot the difference.

This is my blog of my trip around Spain, off road, on my mountain bike. The story is told in full in my book "Three Wheels on my Bicycle", available on Amazon in Kindle or hardback.
